Paddlesport Providers, Coaches and Centres Lockdown Virtual Meet

April 29, 2020

On 27th April 2020, the Scottish Canoe Association hosted our first online Paddlesport Providers, Coaches and Centres Lockdown Virtual meet. With 40 people joining together as a community to share ideas and thoughts about the current Covid-19 situation. Invested in supporting each other and getting our sector back up and running responsibly and in a unified fashion; the meeting acted as a conversation starter.

It was a diverse group of people with representation at all levels across the sector, including Tourism, Outdoor Learning/Education, Coach/Leader Education, HE/FE, Charitable Trusts, Scouts, and a number of Freelance coaches, leaders and guide who work across all of these sectors.

We plan on continuing the Paddlesport Providers, Coaches and Centres Lockdown Virtual meetings on a regular basis (fortnightly, to start). Find the forthcoming dates here.

We have also committed to supporting a new closed Facebook group for paddlesport providers in Scotland as a safe space to share ideas, thoughts and challenges and as a conduit to communicate with each other moving forwards. Click here to visit the group!
