Instead of just repeating CWPS training after 3 years (i.e completing module 1 & 2), sportscotland is now offering coaches and volunteers (the learner) the opportunity to advance their learning in CWPS, by giving access to renewal modules in various topics. This learning is valid for another 3 years, at which point the full CWPS training should be completed.
To achieve the Renewal award, learners must complete Module 1 of CWPS plus two other modules of their choice. (current options include Introduction to Inclusive Practice, Safeguarding in a Digital World) This equates to approximately 3 hours of learning and should be completed within 3 months of their CWPS training expiring.
The learner must have completed the full CWPS training 3 years previously, to be able to access the renewal modules.
