Certification of Personal Performance Awards

Systems have been designed and developed to create a straight forward, effective and efficient process for both paddlers and providers.

  • Online payments
  • Bulk upload facility for both Paddle Awards - Start and Discover.
  • Candidate receives their certification within minutes of the provider uploading
  • Ability to share over social media sites
  • Removes the need for filling in and posting paperwork
  • Teachers, Clubs and Centres can choose to receive the certificates for group presentations

Please click on the videos below to view a step by step guide of how to certificate paddlers with their Personal Performance Award.

Paddle Start and Paddle Safer certification is FREE, Paddle Discover is £6.24 and Paddle Explore is £6.24/members and £8.32/non members. All discipline specific awards are £10.40 for members and £20.80 for non members.

Please note, SCA Providers need to log in to the SCA portal to submit the Explore and Discipline Specific Awards, not the BC portal.

If you are a British Canoeing Delivery Partner, please log in to your Dashboard to add Paddle Start or Discover.

Clubs and Delivery Partners

Clubs and Delivery Partners should now record all Paddle Start, Paddle Discover and Paddle Safer via the Clubs / Delivery Partner dashboard in GoPaddling  (not JustGo). See the 2 videos below on how to access the dashboard, record Start/Discover/Safer and how to add other members of your club to the list of course providers.

Individuals

Individual coaches who wish to log Paddle Start, Discover or Safer will need to register for a free GoPaddling account to access the basic dashboard. To do this visit this link,  scroll to the bottom and select 'basic listing' then 'Decline Partnership', then Proceed.

This will allow you to create a free account to record your Start/Safer/Discover

Paddle Explore and all Discipline Specific Personal Performance Awards

All users should log Paddle Explore and any PPA awards via the Courses dashboard in JustGo. Watch this video to find out more.

Online course authorisation and results

The Just Go system enables Providers to automatically have their course authorised and advertised, submit the candidate results and pay online.

Timings

  • Course authorisation should normally be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the course. We regularly monitor the timing of course results for patterns of late requests.
  • Course results should be entered and paid within 3 days of the course completion

The following documents and videos provide guidance on the course authorisation and course submission processes. This guidance is slightly different depending on whether your course needs authorisation ahead of the course or not. Note - Paddle Discover can also be entered through this method, or via the Go Paddling site.

Updates to Course Authorisation workbench - April 2021

Note: You may also use this method for Paddle Discover candidates who are existing SCA members, or Club members

Provider Service and Data Processing Agreements

All course providers (tutors/assessors etc) of British Canoeing Awarding Body awards and training must complete a Provider Service Agreement (PSA). This is an online process and has no cost.
