Women Go Paddling

Paddling is for everyone. It’s accessible and sociable. Many clubs & providers promote paddling for women because it’s open and welcoming with something for all ages and abilities. The variety and flexibility makes it a great sport for all.


This is a space to celebrate, highlight and support the community of female paddlers. Have a look through the latest news, resources and podcasts created by, or for, women.

Women's Courses & Events

We know that female-specific events make a valuable and positive difference to some women. Check out our events finder to female-only courses and events. The biggest annual female-focused paddling event is the Scottish Women's Paddle Symposium.


If you would like to put on a woman's course as an individual or in your club or centre all you need to do is to complete our online request form.

This group was created by British Canoeing about 5 years ago, now with 1,700+ members. It serves the same purpose as the Scottish Women’s Paddling Community (but with a broader reach and wider geographical spread).

A group for female Paddlesports coaches, guides and leaders to discuss, introduce, inspire, question, suggest…. 300+ members.

The group aim to encourage more women to take up paddling and initiate projects that will enable women to progress within the sport.
