whitewater.guide app is available for iPhones and Android smartphones and can be installed from their app stores. The app has loads of regions in it covering large parts of the world for where all the whitewater river paddling sections are.
The Scotland region has been added as a partnership with the Andy Jackson Fund for Access. Over 80 river gauges are there calibrated by paddlers so you know when the water is good to paddle. It lists some 377 sections for paddling around our beautiful country. The gauges and get-ons are available at no cost while the river descriptions are a one off £10 charge with profits going to the Andy Jackson Fund for Access charity.
Your can also submit your photos, videos and blog writeups of your river trips plus suggest edits to sections and add new sections to share with the paddling world.
The Andy Jackson Fund for Access provides grants to people who have projects to help people get paddling in Scotland, signage, storage, rebuilding river banks, building car parks and paths, we've helped fund them all, if you have a project that needs some grassroots funding to get going do talk to us.
There is an interview about this and similar projects elsewhere on this month's Seth Ashworth podcast available wherever you get your podcasts and YouTube.
