“I am a keen sea kayaker and love spending as much time as possible on water exploring the amazing features and life that the sea is full of. I have also recently been part of the young ambassador program which has helped me gain confidence and meet new people. I started paddling when I was 8 and have been on the water ever since despite being a sea kayaker I started my paddling journey in a canoe doing a short exposition down the river Spey with my dad.
I have recently got my paddle sport instructor and am hoping to get my core coach award as soon as I am 16.
I joined the group as I am very passionate about young people being treated equally and respected by other paddlers; and want to bring views of a young person into discussion. I also hope to help promote the sport to other young people as a way to adventure and explore new things as well as sharing my love and experience as a young paddler.”

“I started out paddling when I moved up to the Highlands 10 years ago and since then I haven’t looked back! I love it all… canoeing, kayaking, rafting but above all others SUP - to me there is nothing more amazing than helping others learn and develop their stand up paddleboarding skills it is truly awesome. I love paddling everything from open water to coastal paddling to white water and expeditions in all as well. I coach a lot with Inverness Canoe Club in particular for the Youth paddlers we have there and I hope to see you all out and about on the water sometime it would be my pleasure to paddle with anyone and everyone.
I love working with all groups of individuals, but I feel it very important to remember where we all started and began; and as a result, coaching children is some of the most rewarding work there is. To see someone excel in a sport that is either new to them or that they have been developing in is an amazing experience. And the more I can help coach, lead and enthuse younger paddlers into different disciplines then the more I see the whole industry having a bright future ahead with some awesome paddlers out there who will be far greater than I someday if not already for some of them in certain craft. Anything I can do to help ensure that younger paddlers get opportunities to paddle and develop I will do so.”
