SCA Recognition Awards 2021: Young Volunteer

This award recognises a young person who is under 19 who commits time and effort to the club, centre or community throughout the year in one or more unpaid roles. The nominee could be a young person who volunteers behind the scenes or maybe they have made a successful step on a coaching/leadership pathway.

This year's winner is: Hannah Moore of Fife Canoeing Activities Group.

"Hannah has been a member of FCAG for approximately 8 years. During the last 3 or 4 years she has taken an interest and assisted with the coaching of others, especially other juniors. She completed Paddlesport Instructor age 17 and then went on to gain experience by assisting the outdoor centre where she gained the award.

"Over the winter months and during lockdown, Hannah helped with the running of weekly Zoom sessions for the juniors and the occasional adult sessions, often taking the lead in organising and presenting. The Clubs junior section numbers have increased exponentially and Hannah's support has been critical in this. "

Congratulations Hannah and thank you for all of your excellent volunteering and we wish you a long and enjoyable time in paddlesport.
