New British Canoeing Safeguarding and Welfare Strategy

February 22, 2023

A new developed Safeguarding and Welfare Strategy from British Canoeing will be launched in Spring 2023.

British Canoeing is committed to ensuring that everyone can enjoy paddling in a safe environment where they are protected from any form of poor practice, abuse and neglect. As part of a continual drive to raise the safeguarding standards across everything they do, they have developed a Safeguarding and Welfare Strategy which will be launched in Spring 2023.

Having identified a mission to create a safe, inclusive culture within paddlesports, where the welfare and well-being of our athletes, staff, volunteers and participants is paramount. To help us ensure we are successful, British Canoeing are keen to understand what you see as the key barriers that may prevent them from achieving this mission.

Your views are really important in this process! Please help ensure the Safeguarding and Welfare strategy identifies priorities within it that are clear, helpful, and the right ones by completing the short survey linked below.
