Joint Winner: Mags Elliot

(The panel debated the nominees for this award for a long time and in the end decided to award to two very deserving individuals, Steven Nelson is the other winner)

"Mags has championed equality both in Edinburgh KC and more widely in the Scottish Paddling Community. Mags has been the EKC equality champion, been instrumental in developing EKC's equality policy, organised LGBTQ+ paddling sessions at EKC, been involved with setting up an LGBTQ+ group within the SCA and written articles for Scottish Paddler on equality issues. This has led to increased representation of the LGBTQI+ community in EKC and more widely in paddling."
