Nick Ray has captured the imagination of the nation and this evening webinar will bring to life the trials and tribulations, the highs and the lows and the daily challenges Nick faced on his year long expedition around Scotland. During Nick's adventure he experienced paddling in sub zero temperatures, numerous storms and strong tidal flows and suffered a suspected stroke. Nick's storytelling, humility and steadfastness in the face of adversity is a lesson for us all and the SCA are proud of his achievement and the work he has done in mental health awareness.
8 - Paddle your home waters: East Coast versus West Coast
Scotland has over 2000 miles of coastline, countless islands and some of the world's most interesting tides and weather patterns, making it a paddler’s paradise. Yet, have you ever wondered about what draws people to a certain stretch of coastline? What unique characteristics feed into one's opinion that "we have the best stretch of coast in Scotland to paddle''. This light hearted, informal webinar will allow the scores to be settled once and for all, where we will be presented with the ultimate case for East versus West. Two very well established paddlers will be given a 30 minute slot to sell to you their opinion that what lies on their doorstep is the ultimate destination for paddling in Scotland.
