Upcoming Development Opportunities - November 2024

August 21, 2024

We have two upcoming development opportunities for those wishing to qualify as a Grade 2 Raft Guide or Paddlesport Touring Leader.

FREE Development Opportunity for anyone ready for Paddlesport Touring Leader Training or Assessment 12th November 2024

Are you looking to do your Paddlesport Touring Leader qualification soon? Then this free training opportunity might be just what you are looking for!

The event is for a small team of new providers who are training to become tutors and assessors. On the day the aspiring new tutors will be practicing some delivery of the training course content, under the supervision of a trainer. You get to learn - they get to teach.

You need to be comfortable paddling on open water (in winds up to force 4) and on grade 1 rapids. You can be a SUP, Kayak or Canoe paddler, and will be self-sufficient with your own boat/transport. During the day you'll have chance to explore how you lead people in all three of these craft in these environments.

These events are subject to the required weather conditions being in place and you need to accept a level of uncertainty, it may cancel at the last minute, or shift from 12th to the 11th November. Provisionally the course will run using Loch Insh and paddle on the river Spey.

Plus 20 CPD points.

If this sounds like something that would help your development, please book here.
