"Come and Try, Learn and Develop”
Paddle Scotland is thrilled to announce the South West Paddle Fest, set to take place at the picturesque Largs Pencil on the last Saturday of August 2024. This exciting day of paddling activities promises to engage enthusiasts of all levels, from absolute beginners to seasoned paddlers.
Under the banner of "Come and Try, Learn and Develop," the South West Paddle Fest aims to introduce new paddlers to the joys of paddling while emphasising safe practice on the water. Participants can choose from a variety of Come and Try sessions, where they can get hands-on experience with different paddling disciplines, including sea kayaking, racing kayak or stand-up paddleboarding.
Local clubs and expert instructors will be on hand throughout the day to guide attendees, ensuring a safe and educational experience. These sessions are designed not only to teach the basics to newcomers but also to help experienced paddlers enhance their skills and explore new techniques.
Event Highlights:
Come and Try Sessions: Perfect for beginners to get started with paddling in a safe and supportive environment.
Skill-Building Workshops: Advanced sessions for experienced paddlers to refine their techniques and learn new skills.
Safety Training: Essential tips and practices to ensure all paddlers can enjoy the water safely.
