This award is open to those who have achieved great things working to improve/preserve access and/or conserve the paddling environment. 

This year's winner is Robin Cole, who has served on the SCA Access Committee for many years.

"Robin has a sustained and notable achievement in dealing with local, National and strategic issues affecting all users of Scottish waterways. He has dealt with many challenges to access, always dealt with them in a considered and measured manner and has enlisted the support of key individuals. Andy Jackson had the knack of being able to pursue an issue without creating enemies, Robin has that rare gift too and has used it repeatedly over decades to uphold the principles of access to water."
