#SaveOurPools Petition - Please Sign

April 26, 2023

We encourage you to sign the #SaveOurPools petition proposed by Scottish Swimming.

Swimming pools are important for the early training of many paddlers and allow us to deliver our paddle-ability sessions, making possible inclusive paddlesport sessions for all.

Yet Scottish swimming pools are under threat of closure. Inflationary energy costs combined with ageing venues and staff shortages has lead to a crisis in the leisure sector. Never has the need been greater to highlight the importance of pools for safety, for health and for communities.

Scottish Swimming encourage everyone to get involved in order to #SaveOurPools

  • Sign the petition!
  • Find out about issues in your local area – write to your MSP or councillors
  • Attend council meetings – show what your pool means to you and your club
  • Encourage young members to get involved – they have a powerful voice
  • Share, tweet, post #SaveOurPools posts from Scottish Swimming
  • Keep up to date with news around #SaveOurPools on the Scottish Swimming website
