River Blackwater at Netherton

River Blackwater at Netherton (the egress)

Last August a post about the River Blackwater at Netherton (the egress) had asked paddlers to be careful with parking, as they had disturbed local residents.

Unfortunately, there has been recent (end of November) more unfortunate behaviour, including urinating in public, as well as careless changing, and blocking of the gate into Mill House. Parking is freely available just over 50 metres up the road, opposite the church (the road is wider here).

The paddling of the Blackwater is very dependent upon the provision of the route off the river - if this was withdrawn, the river would be impossible to egress.

If you are a WW paddler reading this, please do your utmost to spread the word amongst fellow paddlers by social media.
