New Equality Groups

November 13, 2020

How do we make paddlesport more Inclusive, more diverse and give everyone an equal opportunity to take part?

That is a big question and not one that can be tackled overnight or by the SCA Equality Group on it’s own. It is going to take all of us to make a change. It is going to take targeted groups looking at specific aspects of Equality Diversity and Inclusion, then taking positive action. This has already been started by the formation of the Female Equality Group that has already begun looking at ways of inspiring more women to paddle, support female friendly environments and encourage progression.

How can you help?

We are setting up new equality groups that will help make a difference. This is where you can help. We need your ideas, drive, passion, knowledge, experience to inspire new participants, to help remove barriers and increase opportunities for everyone to be able to take part in our great sport.

The next equality groups we are planning to form are the Disability Equality Group, Young Person Equality Group, Lifelong Equality Group, LGBTQ+ Equality Group

If you would like to find out more about these groups more information can be found on the website

If you would like to get involved in one of these new groups please complete this form or if you have any questions please email equality@canoescotland.org by the 16th November.
