This event will be a relaxed Giant Slalom on the McLaren rapid on the Upper Tummel river on the 13th of July. You get 3 race laps down the course and then there will be prizes for best dressed, best beater and fastest lap and lap aggregate. All paddlers need to be in sub 9ft plastic boats with at least 2 grab handles and 2 airbags and wear CE approved helmets, white water BAs and carry a throwbag.

There will be advanced and intermediated categories that will run in parallel but the intermediate would race on a easier course on the rapid. So don't worry if you're not a big sender and there will be plenty of safety there on the day. 

McLaren's is a grade 4 rapid so make sure this is in your ability even before you start thinking about trying to make the gates.
