November 23, 2023

2023 World Champion Hope Gordon is up for Scottish Women in Sport's Para Athlete of the Year award after another impressive year in the sport. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in Glasgow tomorrow night.

Hope won her first World Title this summer in the Women's VL3, a new event making its Paralympic debut at Paris2024 next year. She also won a further two medals in the discipline, with silver at both the World Cup in Szeged and World Cup on the Paris course.

The 29-year-old has been shortlisted alongside Samantha Kinghorn (Athletics) and Joanna Butterfield (Wheelchair Curling).

The 2023 Scottish Women in Sport Awards will be held in Glasgow on Friday 24th November.

The aim of the awards is to recognise and celebrate the hard work, dedication and commitment that enables young girls and women to participate in every aspect of sporting life. Whether it be through individual talent, outstanding contribution, inspiring others or teamwork. Visit the Scottish Women in Sport website for more information.

We hope you will join us in wishing Hope all the best for tomorrow, and congratulations on the nomination!
