Scottish Paddle Trips are trips run by volunteers, typically a series of day/evening trips. The tours are designed to offer safe and enjoyable trips that bring together like-minded paddlers.
Tour leaders have volunteered to give up their time for a day (or sometimes a whole weekend!) to lead a tour in their local waters or in an area they have lots of experience and knowledge in. Most volunteers are there to lead the trip but some are available to coach a little if there are any particular skills you’d like to brush up on. Volunteer leaders have all been reviewed by the SCA Scottish Paddle Trip committee and deemed suitably qualified and within their 'realm of experience'. If you are interested in volunteering as a tour leader for a future tour but haven’t yet confirmed your interest, please contact events@canoescotland.org
View the Trip Calendar and details of each trip in via the link above.
If you’d like to help run a Trip in 2021, please complete the online form here or email events@canoescotland.org.
Booking and payment can be made via the SCA Portal. Places for each tour are limited so please book in advance if you want to come along. Please do not turn up for a trip without having previously booked!
Tours are open to ALL paddlers over the age of 18. Participation is on the basis that each paddler is responsible for their own safety and should be competent to paddle in line with the tour grading. All prospective Tour participants should read the Overview and Guidelines for Participation (links below).
