Adam has worked in paddlesport since 2008 and is a qualified Coach up to Advanced level. He is an active paddleboarder and kayaker which led him to becoming a course provider and national trainer. Adam was most recently the manager of Willowgate Activity Centre in Perth, one of our Delivery Partners, and also has a background in charity work.
One of Adam’s primary focuses is working with young people and he has ample experience developing a variety of people and paddlers. He has also supported the writing and review of existing qualifications over the last couple of years.
In his role with Paddle Scotland, Adam will support the delivery of qualification standardisation as well as lead the Delivery Partner scheme in Scotland. He will be the primary point of contact for certain Equality Groups as well as Discipline Development Groups and will work alongside staff, volunteers, and other development managers to grow the sport and membership, aligning with our Strategic Plan.
Adam says “I'm really excited to be joining the Paddle Scotland team and to support the wider paddling community to get the most out of their time both on and off the water. I’m looking forward to the impact we can all make together.”
Please join us in welcoming Adam to the team! You may reach out to him or any of the other Paddle Scotland Development Managers using the
